why i'm asking, i'm making this topic for the purpose of trying to stop his threats and bihavior towards me.
i've asked him to stop like 100 times, but even if i'm on ventrillo (and i only got it yesterday) he treats me like his own property.
okay, i don't mind the ocational joke, but i really think this is gone to far
One of the zone guidelines states that users must not repeatedly harrass other users. If you feel that you are genuinely being harrassed, bring it to the attention of one of the community leaders. Keep copies of relevant quick notes if you can as this will strengthen your case. No one deserves to be repeatedly put in a situation which makes them feel uncomfortable. Good luck.

I agree with you. He was rood especialy at the zone welfair topick that's why i put there a part of the terms of service to show that this kind of behaviour according to the terms is not allowed.
I want to believe that comunity leaders made these for a reason not just for the site to look oficial and i hope they take some action towards this. I don't think they spend time making them for nothing.

There's a fine line between harassment and him being just annoying. Be careful to try to find the difference. I'm not saying that he is or is not harassing you. Just make sure before you take official action.
In my defense. I haven't said anything to him after yesterday, which is when he started complaining, and don't intend to, he's had the option to put me on ignore, as do you all, so if you don't like what I have to say, go ahead and do that. I know the line, and have not yet crossed it
also in my defense, it was in fact me that was responsible for the instructions that helped him set up VT in the first place
Just to make something clear. I never planed of speaking to any cl about it. I just pointed out the terms of service for Yanki to be more careful and for anyoneelse and for iternity to use them if he feels this behaviour wasn't good. I didn't speak to him or anyone about it i just said my oppinion. And i haven't anythong against Yanki. he never said anything bad about me. I just said these things about terms of service for everyone to be careful because it seams as people agreed without reading them.
It's not my busines to speak to any cls about iternity. It's up to him to speak if he feels this behaviour is not good.
And this is the last thing i am posting about this unless somebody spesifically ask me something.
Why don't you just put the fecker on ignore eh? case closed, it's the mature way out of this mess.

Okay this is my take on this situation. The rules and regulations do clearly state that persistent abuse is in breach of what we consider to be acceptable behavior. However what we consider to be persistent abuse is where a call of interpretation comes into the equation because, as has already been pointed out on this board, you do have the ignore feature at your disposal.
I tend to look at it this way. We cannot be expected to regulate all quick note conversations so if your problem with Garret is simply that he is saying things to you in public quick notes that you don't like then please, just use the ignore feature that is there for this very type of thing. However, if Garret is going out of his way to send you private messages, emails or is picking on you on ventrillo then that, in my view, would be stepping into the realm of completely unacceptable behavior and action would be taken accordingly.
That isn't for one moment to say that I am condoning the behavior of Garret and others in public quick notes because I'm not. Frankly I find the way some so called adults act toward each other on here to be pathetic and infantile. Never the less acting in this manor isn't in breach of the rules, if people wish to make themselves look like low lives with nothing better to do with their time than pick on other people just because they perceive them in some way to be inferior in order to make themselves feel big and clever, then we can't stop that. What you have to realize Iternity is that it is just a big ego trip for these people. It gives them a sense of power and by you responding to them all the time instead of just ignoring them, you are simply exacerbating the problem.
In short, if the problem is just with things said in public quick notes, put him, and any others currently upsetting you, on ignore and lets here nothing more about it. If however the problem is a more far reaching one, spreading to the VT server or private messages for example, get in touch with either myself or one of the other community leaders and we will look into it further for you.

dan, this is the funniest thing of all, I refuse to send any pqn's/private messages to him. However, I will not deny I will say things in publics, but, as stated before, I have in fact not done that for a day or 2. Also, let me once again mention, that saying someone has a shitty microphone, or something like that, I don't believe that's against violations of any kind. I'm rather flattered Daniel, that you chose today, and not any other day to bring this board up. After all, it was me, who got you instructions for VT, and it was me that hasn't said a single word to you over the short period of time.

Again I'm going to say. If all you fuckers have such an issue with Garret then take your happy asses to your ignore settings and put him there or deal with it. Geez what a bunch of morons.

IT seems to me that you get upset over someone who picks on you. I understand that you are a sensitive person, as are some of the others on this site, but this site is based on freedom of speech, this is what the ignore button is for.
In your defense however, the terms of service do state the following:
3. Harassment of other users is not tollerated. This includes, but is not limited to, the following:
List of 5 items nesting level 1• repeatedly annoying other users after they have requested such annoyance to sease
• Threats against other users
• The spreading of personal information
• Sending multiple or excessively large quicknotes which are designed to annoy or crash others\\\' computers
• Sending spam or chain letters in public or private communications
Therefore, if you feel that Garret is violating these terms of service, you may want to look into it further. However, as dan mentioned earlier, if he simply is keping in public qn's, and doesn't go out of his way to make sure you get picked on privately or on vt, then I don't see a problem.
In conclusion, if you choose to take this up with the community leaders, be aware of the thin line between a mere annoyance, and actually harassment, and make sure you have evidence for your case. That is all I have to say on the matter.

I'm sorry you have caught the brunt of Garrett's teasing or harassment, if you please. As someone stated above, he can be an ass! I can't give any better advice than the CL Dan has already given you. I agree that the Terms of Service were somehow overlooked, however and wish you good luck with this and hope it doesn't persist. And, yes, use the ignore button. The yankee bastard isn't worth a whole board! Lol! hahahahahahahahahahhahhahahahah!
